A transnational meditation on travel and the coronavirus.
With the help of a guidebook and Google Maps, I am "travelling" to New Zealand, Taiwan, Iceland and Uruguay - four countries that are generally regarded as having successfully managed the coronavirus crisis. I am compulsively snapping screenshots as I travel - much as I would take photos with my camera if travelling in the non-digital world.
Some of these screenshots are being printed and made into postcards. I am writing the postcards and mailing them to friends living outside of the U.S. If and when they receive the cards, they are taking a snapshot of the card in their immediate outdoor environment  - the place where they have been spending so much time over these past months - and emailing it to me.
