An interactive, public photographic installation, The 9th Street Haat inserted images taken in outdoor haat (markets) in central India into the structure of a Mexican immigrant-owned produce stand in South Philadelphia’s 9th Street Market, commonly know as the Italian Market. Small photographs of items one could buy at the haat were available for purchase alongside the Market’s usual fruits and vegetables.
